This CD is a Live Recording of the
Premier Concert in Israel as advertised in the poster below:

| In
the painting "Love Revealed" by artist Marie Fowler, the heart
of God is portrayed to be breaking for His love to be revealed to His
people. The hands represent the ancient Hebrew text: Isaiah
49:16
"Behold,
I have inscribed you on the palm of My hands; Your walls are
continually before Me." The heavens speak of God's covenant
promise to Abraham that his descendants would outnumber the stars in the
sky, and they also speak of the heavenly abode from where He watches over
them. The city of Jerusalem speaks of how surely as the mountains surround
Jerusalem, so the Lord is all around His people. The veil is opened to
reveal His heart of love with the seraphim of the covenant bidding Israel
into a holy covenant promise with Him and the land. The pieces of God's
heart that are falling from the sky express that the Creator's heart was
broken over the suffering of the Jewish people. |

"View of Jerusalem from the Mt. of Olives showing the Temple Mount
and the Eastern Gate" |
Composer: Esther Upham |
About the Composer:
Esther J. Upham was born in Chicago, and grew up in
the countryside of Indiana. She was awarded a full scholarship to the University
of Tennessee, Knoxville where she completed both her Bachelor of Music in Piano
Pedagogy, and her Master of Music in Piano Accompanying. After completing her
education, Esther Upham taught at Indiana University South Bend as an adjunct
faculty member. During this time, she also gave private lessons at The
University of Notre Dame and accompanied for their opera program. Throughout her
career, she has maintained a private piano studio with students of all ages. As
a composer, the first piece that Ms. Upham premiered was a chamber piece
entitled, "The Gospel According to St. John." Along with a small
ensemble of 4 singers, cello, and flute, she performed this piece at Indiana
University South Bend in 2004.
Raised with a love for the Bible and the God of
Israel, Esther felt inspired to share this love through music. After a visit to
Jerusalem in 2007, she knew that the place to share this love was in the Holy
Land. She then came to Jerusalem as a volunteer, and also to pursue premiering
this piece. While living in Jerusalem, she was inspired by the land and the
people to compose more songs in order to complete "Love Revealed."
This is Ms. Upham's first full choir and orchestral piece. In the same way that
Handel felt he was inspired by God, Esther feels that the melodies came to her
straight from heaven.

Love
Revealed resonates with
the passion and longings of the God of Israel for the children of Israel through
a masterfully woven modern-day classical oratorio based on the ancient texts of
the Hebrew prophets. A deeply moving experience.

Esther Upham is
a thoughtful and deeply committed artist with the humility, discipline and
earnestness of purpose necessary to channel her rare gifts and remarkably
developed skills into the service of a high and holy call--that of honoring the
God she serves by being a blessing to His chosen people Israel. God has honored
her in this endeavor by releasing through her the exalted melodies, harmonies,
orchestrations and choruses which adorn and serve as wings for the ancient and
holy texts of this wonderful oratorio. And more, I believe that this work truly is
a gift and a blessing to the House of Israel, for such a time as this. The
carefully and lovingly arranged libretto, like those of Handel's Messiah
and Brahms Requiem before it, powerfully portrays the love of the Creator
for Humankind and His redeeming work to bring them back to Himself. Yet, the
messages of these texts were originally, specifically, and poignantly related to
Israel. Now at last, they are here restored in the ancient language in
which they were written which has also been restored. The rapt attention of the
captive audience in Jerusalem at its premier, the encore of a chorus from Isaiah
53 by the orchestra and choir all attest to the fact that God was indeed
blessing His people… and that Love was being Revealed.

These
pictures are memories of a remarkable premier performance with a
full-house attendance. The well-acclaimed conductor, orchestra, and choir
made for a superior and memorable performance. Several that attended this
event shared that this was not just a usual night out to the concert for
them, but that it was a 'spiritual' experience.
