BANNACK DAYS in Bannack, Montana

The 3rd weekend in July over 400 volunteers inhabit the old ghost town, Bannack, and make it come alive for thousands of visitors who come to take a step back in time. We, Bridge Over Time & Wyoming Classics, are among those. We fill the Ratallack House, across the street from the church above, with a store full of clothing and accessories and in "character" we portray merchants of the day in our "Dry Goods" store. We show our clothing, teach all about it and offer it for sale to anyone interested.

Inside our front door this mannequin greets guests wearing a floral drop waist dress that features leg of mutton sleeves. Many tiny gold buttons go down the front and the cuffs. The bonnet on top is decorated with tulle, rouched ribbon and silk flowers.

Hats and sun bonnets.

Our shop would not be complete without our late 1800's model Pfaff hand crank sewing machine.

Buckskin dress on the right displayed in one of our rooms in Bannack.

A yellow gown (without the many crinolines and slips that would make it stand way out in all it's fullness. It is ready to be hemmed for the lady it will adorn.

Rae Ann was out for a stroll at the Daly Mansion in Hamilton, Montana.  She is wearing a burgundy moire' skirt and mantelet with bridal satin lining, a velvet collar, and bengaline pleated hems on both skirt and mantelet.  The mantelet features a frog closure at the neck and both pieces are trimmed in lovely gymp.

Mr. & Mrs. Conners and "Tom" with their surrey in downtown Stevensville, Montana. They are wearing many garments made by us.

This surrey is absolutely elegant and both the Conners are expert horseman and drivers.

Mr. & Mrs. Conners are sporting their clothing made by us. His vest is a wool herringbone in a green/tan color with buffalo nickle buttons. His shirt and her waist (blouse) are a superb leno cotton in off white. Her jacket and skirt are olive green twill.
